Known as one of the world’s most liveable cities, Melbourne is growing rapidly, with a population expected to reach 8 million people by 2050. To support a city of that size, we need a food system that is healthy, sustainable, resilient, secure and socially inclusive — from production to waste reduction. Not only is a flourishing food system good for us and the environment, it’s also good for business, and provides a foundation for a vibrant and promising future.
To help shape a better food future for the people of Melbourne, City of Melbourne, Doing Something Good and Open Food Network have been working together since 2013 to support local startups, social enterprises and community projects working to improve our local and regional food system.
You’re invited to join us for our third Local Food Launchpad Pitch Night,
on Wednesday 8th August at One Roof Coworking, Southbank
