Drawing for Story May 26 @ The District, Docklands

  • The Australian Cartoon Mueseum 440 Docklands Drive Docklands, VIC, 3008 Australia (map)
Drawing for Story is a workshop developed by D avid and Luke Watson . It’s designed to introduce you to sketching storyboards as a way of communicating.     Prior to the workshop, they ask participants to come up with a communication challenge they want to work on. We also set them a tiny bit of pre-reading. Lots of business-type people have done sketchnoting classes (learning to quickly take visual notes) and we see this workshop as being a natural follow-on from that.        They will be providing you some tools to help you turn your story from idea to storyboard and help you knock that visual story on the head. They have run it with corporate groups very successfully, and think it'll help anyone who's trying to tell a story or advocate for humans inside or outside an organisation.
